Bipin’s work focuses on comprehensive and research based approach in Lighting design.
As a Lighting Designer, he has experience working on commercial, hospitality, retail, landscape and facade lighting, as well as roadway and apron lighting design projects. He has worked closely with architects, interior designers, artists and government bodies, presenting creative, energy effecient, viable lighting design solution as it benefits the clients and meets the needs of the end user.
Bipin has a Masters in Lighting from the Lighting Research Center, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY. His main area of focus while at the LRC was in Human Factors of Light & Health. His Masters project focused on quantifying the spectral absorption by the retinal hemoglobin and the macula lutea, to further understand the functional relationship of optical radiation as a stimulus to the human visual and circadian system. He also has worked closely with the IES, NVLAP, and the EPA, related to compliance requirements and test methods.
Bipin enjoys visual and sonic arts. He spends time producing and composing Electronic music indoors, loves socializing and enjoys hiking. He is usually hiding in his strangely lit and noisy studio most of his free time.
