Recently two new employees started working at Liska, Maria Vrekou and Örn Erlendsson. Maria has a B.a. degree in architecture from the University of Liverpool and is currently finishing her masters degree in lighting design from KTH in Sweden.
Örn is an architectural engineer. He completed his B.Sc. degree from the University of Iceland in 2012 and his M.Sc. degree from The Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden in 2014 where he specialized in sustainable buildings and daylighting. Örn´s thesis, which was a collaboration with White arkitekter in Stockholm, investigates the design of atria for daylighting in large scale buildings. His thesis, „Daylight Optimization – A Parametric Study of Atrium Design: Early Stage Design Guidelines of Atria for Optimization of Daylight Autonomy“ can be found here. Before joining our team at Liska, Örn worked at White arkitekter as an environmental specialist with a focus on daylighting and parametric design and at the Icelandic Government Construction Contracting Agency as an environmental project manager and a BIM contact.
