Nýlega fengum við þær fréttir að The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon hafi unnið German Design Awards fyrir lýsingarhönnun í flokknum Interior Architecture.
Í yfirlýsingu frá dómnefnd segir: "The design is convincing right down to the last detail and enables rest and relaxation at an exclusive level. Natural materials such as wood and stone combine with clear architecture and simple shapes to convey a sense of calm and concentration. The design also has an excellent approach to light, which becomes an integral part of the architecture here."
